Our dentists are happy to prescribe oral sedation to relax you prior to your visit.

RA. or ["happy gas"] will help nervous and apprehensive patients to relax during treatment. It is a mixture of nitrous oxide and air and is very safe. You remain in a cooperative state of consciousness and the effects wear off very quickly. The dentistry is carried out under local anaesthesia to eliminate any painful experiences.

At Stricklands we have developed an experience that combines relative analgesia with hypnotherapy called the 'enjoyable dentistry' technique. This has been particularly successful with children and very apprehensive adult patients.

For more complex treatments we offer intravenous sedation. We can arrange for one of our anaesthetists to be in attendance for your planned appointment.
